Polar Bear Youth Tournament

Polar Bear Youth Tournament

Third Annual Polar Bear Tennis Tournament, February 20 – 21, at Breton Bay Golf and Country Club.

This tournament is strategically scheduled to help high school players gear up for their seasons, and high school players of all levels may register.  To ensure close matches, players are placed in groups based on ability, from newer players to accomplished high school players.  There is no younger age limit, but players must be able to serve to some degree and keep score.

Events this year include singles and doubles. Separate boys’ and girls’ events will be held if the number of registrations warrants this.  Otherwise, girls might compete against boys of similar playing ability.  While a male and female may sign up as a doubles team, no separate mixed doubles event is planned unless the entries warrant this.  Round Robin format, with two matches guaranteed. Due to possible weather delays, players must be available between 9AM and 8PM both days and special match times should not be requested.

For more info you may visit bretonbayrecreation.com or contact Russ Carrington.   Registration forms must be received by 9PM on February 17th, and can be downloaded by clicking here.
