(OWR) are co-sponsoring a tennis tournament on March 16, 2014 at Patuxent High School in Lusby, Maryland. Attention youth tennis players, coaches, and parents!
The Youth Polar Bear Tournament will be held Feb. 22-23 at Breton Bay Golf and Country Club (Saturday and Sunday). For youth players of all levels. There is no minimum age, but players must be able to get their serves in a bit and keep score. Players will be placed in divisions by estimating their USTA levels, from 2.0 to 4.5, with the help of a parent or the tournament director. So everyone will compete against even competition! The event is particularly designed to help high school players get ready for their tryouts.
Everyone 6 to 18 years of age can play in the USTA Jr. Team Tennis St. Mary's County program! All skill levels are welcome, including beginners. Boys and girls compete on teams in a league, learning the game by playing it. Develop skills in a sport you can play for a lifetime!
